Marrakech-based design studio Younes Duret is one of the most renowned agencies for product, interior, and graphic design in the Arabic world. Siblings Younes and Mia, who share Moroccan-French roots, run the studio together. The challenge was to reflect their diverse expertise and rich cultural heritage in their corporate identity.

The letters can be stretched horizontally while always maintaining the angles of the grid. This flexibility reflects the studio’s ability to bridge different design disciplines and adapts the ‘Kashida’ technique of elongating letters in Arabic script.

The colors draw inspiration from the city of Marrakech and the vibrant 90s spirit of Younes Duret's work.
